Since July 1997 the Centro has had its seat proper in the Palazzo
Barbaran da Porto, where it has also created the Museo Palladiano,
an initiative integrating its traditional scientific, editorial and
didactic activities with a schedule of permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The fulcrum of the Museum is the palace itself, which is completely
open to the public. In some rooms on the ground floor and piano nobile
there are didactic areas containing wooden models and plaster casts
executed for the Palladio exhibitions of the 1970s, which will be
flanked eventually by multimedial displays allowing visitors to "navigate"
within electronic materials: computer animated models, multimedia,
historical-documentary archives on Palladio and on restoration. At
the same time the Palladio Museum produces an syncretic calendar of
exhibitions dedicated to architecture.
