The library, in the Palazzo Barbaran da Porto, was set up along with the Centre at the end of the 1950s. Over the years it has been enriched by donations and purchases of books on the history of modern and contemporary architecture. The library has more than 32,000 volumes on the history of art and architecture, with a particular focus on the Renaissance. The collection includes more than 2,000 antique, rare and precious editions, in particular the most important architecture treatises from the sixteenth to the nineteenth centuries. Thanks to subsequent donations, precious original antique collections have been assembled, such as the ‘Cappelletti Palladian Collection’, the ‘Jean-Charles Moreux Collection’, the ‘Wanda and Rosario Assunto Collection’ and, more recently, the ‘Cattaui de Ménasce Collection’. The Centre also has an antique collection that is expanded every year with the acquisition of rare texts on art and architecture.

Elevations of all Palladio buildings are kept in a digital and hard copy archive.
